From a sketch to a 3D floor plan

Drawing in rooms, not in walls

The Room tool pulls out a box and makes four walls that meet exactly. The second room beside it shares its wall with the first – no double walls, no gaps. The dimensions read live beside the box as you drag, rounded to a 5 cm grid, so the sketch becomes 4.00 × 3.50 m and not 3.98 × 3.52.

Corners are joined: drag one and both walls follow; drag a side and the room grows instead of tearing open. Doors and windows go on a wall with one click. If you prefer to draw wall by wall you still can – the Room tool is the fast route, not the only one.

From box to floor plan

Rooms find themselves from the walls: as soon as four walls close, the room is there, with its area. You give it a name and a type; the type drives colour, furnishing and – with an area standard selected – the counting factor. The plan check lists open wall ends, rooms without a door and rooms without a type before you export.

The 3D view

One switch and the plan stands as a dollhouse: walls with height, doors as openings, furniture if placed. Turn it, zoom, choose the angle – and take exactly that angle into the listing PDF as a second page, or export it as a GLB model that portals and 3D viewers open. The 3D view is computed from the same geometry as the 2D plan; what you change in 2D is in 3D at once.
